I’m ALSO thinking of Matt because I know he loves his dad.
I don’t handle illness well. I go to some really dark places but I’ve been reading (audible) many books and there’s so much proof that there is more than this. We won’t know until we know. But I hope you handle things better than I do.
I think about all the times I got on a cruise and the most important thing I wanted to do was film the ship so you could see my situation. Of course, I was always complaining! You and your words would make me laugh so much. I loved your interest and curiosity. I found it to be so precious. I always thought you may use my quirky travel experiences in one of your books because your brain is always working.
And then you started traveling and I loved the places you were seeing. The world is so beautiful as are the people. Meeting you was a dream come true. One big achievement off my bucket list. I was so nervous that I had a hard time talking to you in life even though our messages to each other was always so easy. You and Ron had some “guy talk” though I knew you and I had more in common. We needed more time together on that visit.
I’ll always be grateful to you for appreciating Home Wrecker. It was so full of typos and stories that didn’t take the reader anywhere. But you made me feel special, nevertheless. And you said I was less a writer and more reporter which is so true. You get me and that doesn’t happen with that many people. Especially from such far away places.
I love your passion for writing, on your terms and in your unique style.
I hope you will fight whatever odds and have more time here. And I hope you aren’t in pain or have to suffer. If you are I hope you can speak up and get the best care.
