In my darkened room with the candles lit, the incense gave out a strong scent of patchouli. Four teenagers, including me, sat in a circle, cross-legged, talking to each other in low whispers. An eerie feeling was in the air, as if we knew, deep down, that we were testing fate.
Jeff, the most outgoing, led the séance. A heart-shaped shard of wood moved around the flat wooden Ouija board in front of us.
I wasn’t sure if I had imagined what I saw, but I am sure the letters spelled out P.U.N.K. The hair on my arms stood to attention while Susie yelled out in shock. A breath of cold wind blew in from an open window. Before then, the night was rather still and quiet. Despite the descending temperature and the letters we saw appear before us, we didn’t want to stop, not for a minute.
We continued the board spelling words that weren’t making much sense. Suddenly, the light fixture started to flicker, even though it had been turned off! We all were freaked out at this point, but we were certain Darby Crash had come to visit…
