Seeing The Damned was a total adrenalin rush. The music was hard driving and ear-piercing loud. Dave Vanian was sexier than hell, and the band’s style was all its own. What a buzz. I would have followed this band to the ends of the earth if I could have. San Francisco was as far as I traveled to see them, but that night was electric. Being in a different city, watching one of my favorite bands doing its thing was intense. Wish I could go back to that time. We actually bumped into the band while venturing around the city. I remember how nice Captain Sensible was. He was a real people person and full of personality. I see he hasn’t changed much!
