My name is Brenda Perlin, and @losangelespunkrocker (on Instagram) is my baby in the modern world. It’s all a bit silly, but social media has introduced me to the best people, some of whom I knew in the past and some of whom I’ve just met. Punks and oddballs from all over the world. 

If you are visiting for the first time, please make yourself comfortable. I hope you feel at home and share my love for the punk scene and the music that sparked inspiration and identity. 

This is a total passion project, along with the books that embrace stories by punks. For punks. We are an all-inclusive bunch and love going back to the past. Yet, many of us still live DIY lifestyles that represent what got us here in the first place. We didn’t care to follow mainstream trends or blend in with the crowd but were driven to find something different. Paving our own ways, whether musically, artistically, or just unconventionally. No rules and no boundaries. This is for all who have lived fast and died young and everyone else who has survived the horrors of being young, misunderstood, or marginalized. I thought punk was dead, but it’s alive and well. Changed, but still here, we aren’t about to follow what society tells us to be.
